Journey Kids Location Coordinator

Part-Time | Approximately 15 Hours per Week  — Caledonia Location

As a Journey Kids Location Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to build teams, develop leaders, partner with families, and create environments where kids experience the love of Jesus in ways that are fun, relational, life-giving, and safe.

This is more than a volunteer coordination role. It is a leadership opportunity to invest in the next generation, raise up leaders, and help create lasting Kingdom impact in the lives of children, families, and volunteers.

Growth Opportunities:

We believe in developing you as a leader in this role and as a whole. Growth opportunities include leadership coaching and development, growth through Journey's Leadership Pipeline, opportunities to explore ministry passions, conferences, retreats, and weekly team/staff meetings. 

Primary Responsibilities:

MINISTRY LEADERSHIP

  • Champion the vision and mission of Journey Kids at the Caledonia location.

  • Lead a growth-oriented ministry.

  • Cast vision for raising world changers who know and experience the love of Jesus.

  • Invest in the spiritual growth of children and families.

  • Oversee volunteer recruiting and scheduling for all Journey Kids environments.

  • Collaborate with the Journey Kids Leadership Team on programming, events, and ministry initiatives.

SUNDAY LEADERSHIP

  • Create exceptional Sunday experiences where children feel known, families feel welcomed, and volunteers are equipped to lead with confidence.

  • Create a culture where team members and leaders can grow in their faith and leadership capacity.

  • Lead with flexibility and adaptability while maintaining a high standard of ministry excellence.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

  • Recruit, equip, coach, and develop leaders through Journey's Leadership Pipeline.

  • Lead with a servant's heart and a development mindset.

  • Meet regularly with the Family Ministry Director for coaching, encouragement, and alignment.

  • Participate in serving opportunities within the local community.

  • Personally engage in reaching lost and unchurched people through your sphere of influence.

Typical Weekly Commitment:

Sunday Leadership: 5–6 hrs

Team Development & Volunteer Care: 2–3 hrs

Staff Meetings & Collaboration: 2 hrs

Scheduling, Planning & Personal Development: 3–4 hrs
