The December Big Give

WHAT IS THE BIG GIVE?
In a time of year marked by consumerism, it is important to be mindful of those less fortunate in our own communities and around the world. The December Big Give is a month-long period of giving above and beyond our normal tithes to causes outside the walls of Journey. This year our giving will be split three ways: locally, nationally, and globally and we are prayerfully pursuing the goal of $75,000 for this year’s Big Give.

WHAT ARE WE GIVING TO?
Local — 1/3 of our giving will be used in partnering with Hastings High School, Caledonia High School, and Thornapple Kellogg High School to help serve students who are in need of food/snack items as well as other essentials like hygiene products, feminine products, and other resources.

National — 1/3 of giving will be given to Convoy of Hope (a reputable, faith-based organization) that is fighting food insecurity in our nation and beyond. Learn more about Convoy of Hope and their "Neighbors In Need” Initiative here.

Global — 1/3 of our funds is going to a new partnership between Journey and Hope Endeavors who serve vulnerable children in Malawi, Africa. Learn more about Hope Endeavors here.
