Our purpose at Journey can be summed up in one simple sentence:

Helping people find the way to live
in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

We accomplish this by adhering to six core values:

Constantly reach out to people who are not yet part of our faith community.
Express lifestyles of wholehearted worship to God.
Invest significantly in the next generation.
Multiply ourselves and our churches.
Be in healthy relationships that foster life growth.
Sacrifice for a cause bigger than ourselves.

Reach Out
We dream about a community of people that is yearning and active in reaching the lost. A community that becomes contagious to the community around them. A community of people who encourage one another to see their world through missionary eyes and with ‘love first’ hearts. With hearts that love first, we will be able to show the people of our area the most clear picture of God (I John 4:10).

Worship
We dream about developing a community in which worship becomes a lifestyle. A community in which the experience goes well beyond a gathering and becomes part of how we live. It becomes part of what is contagious about us. Our deep desire is certainly for gatherings of worshippers to be expressive and heart-felt, but it is also to allow that gathering experience to transform each of us individually into 24/7 worshippers.

Next Generation
We dream about developing people that value and invest in the next generation. A place where we are constantly striving to be on the front end of spiritual investment. A people who partner with parents and families to raise up a new contagious generation which is in turn influencing its own circles of living!

Multiply
We dream about a community that doesn’t just add, but multiplies by starting new communities of people that are just as passionate about reaching lost people. It’s exciting to imagine supporting new churches with people, finances and time. If we really believe all of the statistics that say new churches reach people the fastest, how could we not be excited about multiplying?

Relationships
We dream about developing a place where people understand how and are encouraged to experience relationships to their fullest; relationships in which honesty, realness, support, and authentic love are expressed and treasured; relationships in which both grace and truth are extended to offer the best opportunities for growth towards Christ-likeness.

Sacrifice
We live to sacrifice for a cause greater than ourselves.
